How do I know that your cleaners can clean?
Every cleaner we hire (no matter what previous experience level) must go through an in depth training process to make sure they can clean things the "Carden Clean" way. First, we only hire individuals who display a service mentality and complete the vetting process. Then they must take a required online training that we call Carden Clean Academy. After successfully passing Carden Clean Academy they begin on-site training with a qualified supervisor which lasts 2 weeks. Each training step must be perfected before moving on to the next which eventually leads to becoming a Cleaning Tech I which is a flexible, challenging and opportunity filled position within the company.
We do our best to make sure that anyone cleaning in your home has been properly vetted, trained and is passionate about doing their job and doing it well.
Are prices negotiable?
The only price that is not negotiable is the final quote given in-person during the walk through.
Our price calculator on our website is only a rough estimate based on the size property and number of rooms in your home. If you have requested a more in depth estimate through email, it is still not "set in stone". However, during the walk-through a Carden Clean representative will give you a Customer Welcome Packet, walk-through your home, answer all of your questions and give you a final quote. This final quote is your official Carden Clean price quote which is based on all of the unique features and individual needs of your home. This is the amount that it will take to have our professional team make sure your home is clean and taken care of so that it is off of your plate :)
Do I need to provide equipment or supplies?
No. Unless you have specific products that you would like us to use. In that case we would be happy to do so.
Should I provide a key?
Providing us with a key to keep on file is the best option. However, there are three options to choose from in order to give our Cleaning Professionals access into a home.
1. Client may opt to not give a key to the company and be home on their day of cleaning. Because we connot give an exact time, the client must be home during their specific time frame to let the cleaners in/out of the home. Timeframe will generally be about an hour. If no one is home when the cleaners arrive, we will attempt to call the client. If we cannot communicate with the client and gain access a cancellation fee will be charged.
2. Client may provide the company with a key. In the event of termination of the cleaning agreement, keys will be returned to the client within 48 hours of the final cleaning. For your protection, keys will not be linked to any information pertaining to the client. Keys are kept in a secure location only available to Carden Clean Management.
3. If a client chooses to leave their door unlocked, place the key under the mat, or leave their house key in an unsecured place for the cleaners to gain entry, the client releases Carden Clean from all liability that arises from damage made before or after the cleaners leave the premises. Carden Clean is not responsible for any damage or theft as a result of keys, access codes or locks being unsecured or secured by the client at the location of the cleaning.
I have an alarm. What should I do?
It is not necessary to disarm the alarm system for the scheduled date of cleaning. If you would like, you may contact your alarm company and have a house cleaner code issued. If a code and/or key is provided to us, we will keep it securely locked at our office until your scheduled cleaning day in which they will be distributed to the cleaning crew.
Will I always get the same crew?
We try our best but we can't guarantee it.
Assigning team members to house cleaning appointments is a complicated dance as we have many team members servicing a lot of clients (new and recurring), all spread out across the Piedmont Triad of NC. Each Cleaning Technician has specific attributes and own "super powers" for different types of house cleaning and different types of homes. Each client also has a busy life with family events, health issues, or vacations influencing their availability.
Our main goal is to make you happy. And we do realize the best way to do it is to send you the team that had already succeeded in that. It's also the easiest thing for our company and the preferred option for the Cleaning Techs themselves. However, sometimes it's nearly impossible to do because of the above-mentioned factors.
It is possible to always have your favorite team, if you:
-are very flexible on your cleaning times,
-inform us how important it is for you to have your team,
-treat your team with kindness and respect.
